Bethel Finance news:
Real estate developers Oron and Roy Lusternik found a suitcase with $6.7 million in cash at the home of their late uncle, Reuven, but neglected to report the discovery to their mother, Reuven's sister, and Reuven's common law wife. The brothers are suspected of concealing the money to keep it out of the hands of their mother's and Reuven's common law wife, due to a dispute over the inheritance. The brothers also neglected to notify the state assessor about the money.

Two weeks ago, the Tel Aviv Magistrates Court placed a gag order on the case, and released the brothers on bail of NIS 1.6 million each. They were also banned from leaving Israel for 180 days, and had to deposit their passports with the investigators' office.

The case was discovered during a routine audit by the Tax Authority's Tel Aviv auditors office. The audit suspected that the brothers had not reported NIS 22 million in income. In a declaration of assets that they were requested to file, Oron Lusternik listed $2 million and NIS 3.5 million in cash - money that did not appear in his previous declaration.
