Bethel Finances: Tel Aviv 25 up 0.6% for the week

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.34% to 1,326.19 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.35% to 1,204.72 points, and the BlueTech Index fell 0.96% to 285.41 points. Turnover was NIS 1.48 billion.

The TASE fell across the board today, including the Tel-Bond index. For the week as a whole, the Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.6% to reach its level at the beginning of the year.

In the bond market, long-term Shahar bonds rose by up to 0.1%, and long term CPI-linked Galil bonds rose by up to 0.5%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.25%.

In the foreign currency market, the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate rose 0.41% to NIS 3.431/$, but the shekel-euro representative exchange rate fell 0.46% to NIS 4.936/€. The shekel has appreciated 3.3% against the dollar since the beginning of the year.

In the stock market, Perrigo Company (Nasdaq:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) rose 1.4%, the biggest gain among Tel Aviv 25 shares, followed by a 1.1% gain by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA).

Israel Chemicals Ltd. (TASE: ICL) was unchanged on the day's largest turnover among Tel Aviv 25 shares of NIS 96.4 million.

NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) fell 2.8%, the biggest drop among Tel Aviv 25 shares, despite a favorable report by RBC Capital Markets, which believes that the company will report another strong quarter.

Mobile carriers Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) and Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR), which were the focus of attention this week, both fell another 0.4% today.

Tamar and Leviathan partners were again big losers today. Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) fell 1.9% and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) fell 2.3%, while their parent company Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 0.9%. Their partner in Tamar, Isramco Ltd. (Nasdaq: ISRL; TASE: ISRA.L) fell 1.3%, and their partner in Leviathan, Ratio Oil Exploration (1992) LP (TASE:RATI.L) fell 3.3%, on the day's largest turnover of NIS 127 million.

Israel Land Development Company (TASE: ILDC) stood out with a rise of 16% for the week, despite today's drop of 0.8%
