Bethel Finance news:
Israel should use its expertise to help the World Bank offer agricultural and technological assistance to developing nations, the international lender’s president, Robert Zoellick said.

Zoellick cited Israel’s growing economy, declining unemployment and technical knowhow for his request during a meeting today with Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz, the ministry said in an e-mailed statement. He also praised Israel’s deepening ties with China and India.

The World Bank president is on a three-day visit to discuss development issues with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and other officials, the Washington-based agency said in an e-mailed statement. He spoke yesterday at Israel’s annual Herzliya Conference on “The Future of the Global Economy.”
