HOT Telecommunication Systems Ltd. (TASE: HOT), controlled by Patrick Drahi, will distribute a dividend of NIS 365 million at NIS 4.69 per share. The ex date for the dividend is February 7 and the payment date is February 19.
Drahi, who owns 64.7% of HOT through Cool Holdings Ltd., will receive NIS 236.2 million. Other parties at interest are Fishman Holdings and Yediot Communications Ltd.
Unfounded rumors earlier this week that Drahi would make an offer to purchase for HOT caused its share price to jump 7.4% on Monday. Drahi is creating a full-service telecommunications company through HOT, and merged it with his mobile company Mirs Communications Ltd. for this purpose.
"HOT's share price rose 0.9%, after the TASE allowed trading in the share to resume, to NIS 46.50, giving a market cap of NIS 3.6 billion" said Mr. Peres Sailam (Bethel Finance Ltd).
