Bethel Finances: 72% of Israeli VC managers: Facebook overvalued

72% of Israeli venture capital managers say that Facebook Inc. is overvalued, dismissing reports that the social network's value is as much as $85 billion. According to the VC Indicator for the First Quarter of 2011 survey by Deloitte Brightman Almagor Zohar, the Israeli managers estimate the value of Facebook at $50 billion - its latest financing round led by Goldman Sachs and Russian company DST.

68% of respondents estimated Facebook's value at less than $40 billion, 23% estimated its value at $40-60 billion, and 9% estimated its value at over $60 billion.
