The race to succeed Galia Maor as president and CEO of Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) officially opened today, when former Supervisor of Banks Roni Hizkiyahu submitted his candidacy to the bank's search committee. He will face off against Leumi deputy CEO Rakefet Russak-Aminach.
Hizkiyahu reportedly believes that he has a good chance in beating Russak-Aminach for the job, because of his rich banking experience and track record.
Hizkiyahu is 60; Russak-Aminach is 46. He has 28 years of experience in banking in Israel and abroad, as well as serving as the Supervisor of Banks at the Bank of Israel; she is the personal assistant of Maor.
