The shekel-dollar exchange rate is unchanged at NIS 3.4649/$, and the shekel-euro exchange rate is down 0.25% to NIS 4.9141/€.
Despite moves by the Bank of Israel to increase reporting and capitalization requirements for foreign investors, the Bank of Israel reports that nonresidents held an all-time high of NIS 47.23 billion worth of makams (short-term Treasury loans) in February.
Yesterday, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.465/$, 0.23% lower than the day before, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.9262/€, 0.146% higher than the day before. The pound was worth NIS 5.5913.
