Italian fashion retailer, United Colors of Benetton, will re-enter the Israeli market, after an unsuccessful stint earlier.

Benetton will open the 2,700 sq. ft. flagship outlet in a mall called Dizengoff Center in the next few months at an investment of around $430,000.

The retailer has entered the Israeli market, through a franchisee route and plans to open 10 more stores in the country, in the near future.

Earlier, in 1990, Benetton had made an unsuccessful foray in Israel and had to withdraw. Experts had blamed high prices charged by the retailer for its failure.

Benetton is available in around 120 countries around the world through a network of 6,000 stores.
