Bethel Finance news:
Rami Levy Chain Stores Hashikma Marketing 2006 Ltd. (TASE:RMLI) unit Rami Levy Communications has signed up more than 2,000 subscribers for its MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) within less than two weeks, according to cellular provider statistics. In addition, Rami Levy is believed to have signed up another few hundred subscribers with its 055 code.

"Globes" reported that Rami Levy has purchased web surfing services with a speed of 2 MB from Pelephone Communications Ltd. for its customers. Since Pelephone's network will host Rami Levy's mobile customers, Rami Levy customers will not be eligible to utilize the higher speeds that Pelephone is capable of providing, which reach 15 MB.

Rami Levy customers will not be able to access higher speeds because the contract it signed with Pelephone stipulates that 2 MB will be the maximum speed available. As a result, Levy might request to amend this section of its contract with Pelephone.

Pelephone's network has higher-speed cellular capability than its competitors, and it could be that subscribers assumed that Rami Levy's good value included Pelephone's higher speeds. The issue will be discussed by the two sides over the next few days, since it is an essential issue for some clients considering switching to a new provider.

Rami Levy said that according to the contract with Pelephone, Pelephone has offered Rami Levy subscribers the same speed that it provides all of its customers. Pelephone responded saying, "The various details are laid out in the contract between the two sides, and we will not publish them in the newspaper."
