Bethel Finance: Israel Bonds raises $225m in one night

Bethel Finance news:
The State of Israel has had a record night of fundraising. Minister of Finance Yuval Steinitz was the guest of honor last night at the annual Development Corporation for Israel / State of Israel Bonds conference in Miami.

Steinitz participated in the record-breaking fundraising evening for the State of Israel in which $225 million was raised in one night - much more than expected. In all of 2011, Israel Bonds raised $1.1 billion, the Ministry of Finance said.

In his speech, Steinitz declared that 2012 would be a year for investment in Israel. He called on American Jews to invest in Israel, and said he had agreed with the president of Israel Bonds that from now on, the organization would not just focus on purchasing State of Israel bonds, but also on recruiting investors for the Israeli economy.

Steinitz also asked that the audience to use its extensive network of connections to maintain the high level of investment in the Israeli economy, which would enable Israel to preserve high growth levels and low unemployment.

Steinitz concluded by saying that in 2012, the Ministry of Finance and Israel Bonds will make a joint effort to expose more potential investors to the attractiveness of the Israeli economy.
