Bethel Finances: Nochi Dankner appoints son to Ma'ariv board

Nochi Dankner has appointed his 26-year old son Omer Dankner to the board of Ma'ariv Holdings Ltd. (TASE: MARV-M), the owner of Hebrew daily "Ma'ariv". Danny Yaakobi will reportedly be appointed as vice chairman of Ma'ariv Holdings.

Omer Dankner recently completed a degree at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. He served in the Air Force, reaching the rank of first sergeant.

Last week, Nochi Dankner completed his takeover of Ma'ariv Holdings through IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH) unit Discount Investment Corporation (TASE: DISI).

Yaakobi handled the due diligence on Ma'ariv for Discount Investment. Previous jobs included a senior position at Hebrew daily "Yediot Ahronot".

Nochi Dankner appointed himself, IDB CEO Haim Gavrieli, Discount Investment president and CEO Ami Erel, and Discount Investment VP Ari Bronshtein as directors at Ma'ariv.
