Sources inform "Globes" that Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) controlling shareholder Ilan Ben-Dov has suspended his planned construction of a new villa in Kfar Shmaryahu, north of Herzliya. For the time being, he will continue to live in his current home in Tel Aviv's Afeka neighborhood.

The villa that Ben-Dov is planning to build is on one of Kfar Shmaryahu's most expensive and sought after lots, covering 5,000 square meters, which the Partner owner purchased in August 2010 for NIS 50 million.

Ben-Dov's plans for the new villa were approved in June 2011 by the Herzliya Local Planning and Building Committee. The new villa was approved without any irregularities or allowances.

The new house is planned to be 1,200 square meters in size plus an 800 square meter basement and 100 square meter swimming pool. Construction costs were estimated at NIS 25 million, giving the new villa when completed a market value of NIS 90 million.
